I have worked in the HIV, mental health and substance misuse fields for nearly 30 years. I am an accredited DAPAANZ supervisor and hold an M.A. in Solution Focused Brief Therapy. I also hold a post graduate Certificate in Substance Misuse (Training & Education), a BA (Hons) and am a registered and accredited psychotherapist with BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy).
I am incredibly passionate about therapeutic communities and have pretty much my dream job. In St Marks no two days are the same and my role fluctuates between being the clinical lead whilst also taking care of HR, finances, contracts, reporting and so on. My favourite TC (Therapeutic Community) saying is: 'Make the covert overt!'
I play and coach badminton in my spare time and my partner and I enjoy the many walks around Marlborough. I am London born though hold my Irish heritage close to my heart. I am a big batman fan, collect vinyl records and support Spurs (football).
