Charles Murdoch - Chair Born, but arguably not bred, in Marlborough I am currently a practicing lawyer at Wisheart Macnab & Partners. I am married to Sue with three adult children and two grandchildren, with another on the way. I have been a member of the St Marks Board for some 14 or more years and was a founding trustee of the St Mark Charitable Foundation which was established to help support St Marks’ on a financial basis. For leisure I have always enjoyed anything to do with basketball having played, refereed and coached. I still pretend to play (blocking out the pain of failing knees and ankles) . aiming to If I have any spare time I enjoy spending time with my wife, annoying my children, and travelling. Charles is the Board Legal Lead. Jim Hasseldine – Board Vice Chair: I have been involved with St Marks for over 17 years now and bring my years as a Automotive Business Owner as well as serving on a number of Community Groups to assist St Marks. I am a Strategic thinker and also Pragmatic in approach. Jim is the Board local business lead. Paul Hanton – Board member: Paul is a DAPAANZ and BACP member and has had over 30 years experience in the AOD sector holding local, regional and National roles in both Aotearoa New Zealand and the UK. Paul has lived experience of substance misuse and the criminal justice system. Paul is the Board Clinical Lead & Lived Experience Lead. Peter Diack – Board member: As a retired Chartered Accountant & Investment Adviser, I have had many years of governance experience, primarily in the roles of trusted adviser, Director & Trustee with private companies & Trusts. Currently I sit on the Board of 2 other Charitable Trusts and have been a Board member of St. Marks for 10 years, I feel privileged and humbled in being able to assist St Marks in their role of saving and turning people’s lives around. Peter is the Board Financial lead. John Patchett – Board member: It is a privilege being a Board member of St Marks, my father’s family having close connections to this part of Blenheim, and on my mother’s side I whakapapa to te Atiwa, Kai Tahu and Ngati Toarangatira. I am now in a mentoring role, having been a chartered accountant for 27 years. Along with other life skills, my aim is to contribute, tautako and lead St Marks into a changing and challenging Health environment, to make a difference in people’s lives. I am an active relaxant including biking, kayaking and paddle boarding around Marlborough in this paradise we call home. John is the Board Cultural Lead. Jennifer Moxon - Board member: Jennifer has over 25 years governance experience across a range of industry sectors. Jennifer comes to St Marks with a strong commercial background as a prior Chief Executive and has worked in front line business roles in her previous international executive career. This experience helps Jennifer bring useful strategic, commercial and operational insights to the Board table and our decision making. Jennifer is an experienced Board chair in People and Performance, and Culture and Health and Safety, and board member in audit and risk and investments. Jennifer is the Board Governance and development lead.
