Treatment Programme

St Mark's has developed a holistic based approach to the treatment of addiction. The aim is to develop open, honest and willing participation so clients can learn from their own thoughts, feelings, and behaviour.

Supportive Detoxification treatment

Detox can be managed at St Marks under the supervision of Registered Nurses and a Medical Officer.

Our vision/mission statement is:

St Marks provides a unique treatment facility in the top of the South, based on therapeutic community concepts with a strong family/whānau emphasis.

St Marks Provides:

Adult Residential Treatment
Supportive Detoxification for Nelson Marlborough Clients
7 days a week, 24 hour support by on-site staff
Strong emphasis on family atmosphere and Te Whare, Tapa Wha model of health
Trained professional staff
Individual and group counselling
Therapeutic Community concepts

We talk about tāngata whai ora (people seeking wellness plural) or tangata whai ora instead of using the word ‘client’, we may also use the term ‘resident’ or simply ‘people’. We use the term whānau to denote family connections that may or may not be blood related.
